Battle of Aachen

Collaboration Organized By: History Builder

Fought between the 12th and 21st of October 1944, the Battle of Aachen was the first large scale allied victory on German mainland soil. Often referred to as the Stalingrad of the Western Front, Aachen featured heavy house to house fighting with the use of flamethrowers to clear entrenched German forces out of the basement of Aachen. The build features many original houses as they stood in 1944 faithfully recreated to the last brick.
