History:

The Schweres Infanterie Geschutz 33 was a 15 cm heavy infantry gun designed during Germany's rearmament in the 1930s and was intended to act as fire support for infantry. The gun was, for its time, a brilliant piece of engineering. On average, a crew of 6 could deliver 3 rounds a minute at an effective range of approximately 4.7 km to a target. 

Approximately 4,600 guns were produced from 1936 to 1945, serving the German Wehrmacht throughout the war.
