History:

The T-26 was one of the Soviet Union's most widely produced light tanks, developed from the British Vickers 6-Ton design. The improved single-turret variants of the mid-1930s featured a powerful 45mm gun, making the T-26 a formidable infantry support tank for its time. It saw extensive combat during the Spanish Civil War, the Battles of Khalkhin Gol, and the Winter War against Finland. Although increasingly obsolete by the German invasion of 1941, the T-26 remained a significant part of the Red Army's armored forces during the early stages of the Second World War.
